Sorcererhat

About

Sorcererhat is a Brazil-based software development company founded in 2019 and focused on delivering magical apps and services.

Currently, there are two apps by Sorcererhat available on the App Store: SongCapsule, a music app launched in 2019 and formerly known as “Next: Magic DJs & Playlists,” and SongCapsule Quiz, a music trivia game launched in 2023.

In 2022, Sorcererhat Labs introduced Apuração Dinâmica, an experimental app to follow the real-time counting of the Brazilian presidential elections directly from the Dynamic Island on the newly launched iPhone 14 Pro. It was available exclusively on TestFlight and was one of the first apps in the world to showcase the power of Live Activities.

In 2024, Sorcererhat launched its first publication, Sorcererhat Tech, written in Portuguese for tech enthusiasts in Brazil.

About

SongCapsule is an app developed by Sorcererhat to help you rediscover your music library. It comes with Magic DJ, a smart shuffle that mixes different artists and genres, and playlists that help you easily find your favorite tunes — even those forgotten songs you haven't listened to in a while.

Pricing

SongCapsule is available on your iPhone, iPad, and Mac with a single purchase of $4.99 on the App Store. It doesn’t have subscriptions or additional costs.

Requirements

SongCapsule works with any iPhone or iPad running iOS or iPadOS 15 or later. On Macs, you need macOS Monterey or later. It’s available on the App Store today at sorcererh.at/songcapsule.

To use SongCapsule, you also need a music library with at least 100 songs. An Apple Music subscription is not required.

SongCapsule Quiz is a game developed by Sorcererhat to test your music knowledge and help you discover new songs while playing. Drawing inspiration from the classic iPod’s Music Quiz, a favorite among early 2000s iPod users, SongCapsule Quiz introduces a fresh and modern approach to music quiz games, now built for the streaming era.

One exciting feature of SongCapsule Quiz is its always up-to-date content, made possible through deep integration with Apple Music. This integration not only enables you to play quizzes with your music library but also allows you to create playlists to challenge other players.

Pricing

SongCapsule Quiz lets you play all special playlists with leaderboard support for free. You can access these playlists by tapping the “+” icon in the upper right corner of the Playlists tab.

To play any playlist from your music library and send challenges to Game Center friends, you’ll need a SongCapsule Quiz Deluxe plan, available either as a subscription or as a one-time payment — $1.99/month, $7.99/year, or a one-time purchase of $9.99 (in the U.S.)

Note: Customers who purchased SongCapsule Quiz on the App Store before version 1.1 will automatically be upgraded to the SongCapsule Quiz Deluxe lifetime plan with no additional charges.

Requirements

SongCapsule Quiz requires an iPhone running iOS 16 or later and an active Apple Music subscription. It’s available on the App Store today at sorcererh.at/quiz.
